When does this happen?
IF Using AutoTokenizer.from_pretrained with a local tokenizer config containing a 'transformers_version' <= '4.57.2' causes an AttributeError because the code treats the loaded JSON dict as an object.
How others solved it
THEN Upgrade transformers to version >=4.57.3 where the bug is fixed. If unable to upgrade, patch the local copy of tokenization_utils_base.py by replacing `_config.model_type` with `_config.get("model_type")` around line 2419.
