agent: infrastructure

When does this happen?

IF User uploads a file larger than 1MB as bytes in a dataset item and receives HTTP 413 error 'Body exceeded 1mb limit'.

How others solved it

THEN For self-hosted Langfuse instances, increase the event and batch size limits by setting environment variables LANGFUSE_MAX_EVENT_SIZE_BYTES and LANGFUSE_MAX_BATCH_SIZE_BYTES (e.g., to 5MB or larger). Alternatively, use S3-compatible storage (e.g., MinIO) and reference large files via LangfuseMedia links instead of embedding raw bytes; the env var LANGFUSE_S3_MEDIA_MAX_CONTENT_LENGTH controls the upload limit for blob storage (default 1GB).

# docker-compose.yml
environment:
  - LANGFUSE_MAX_EVENT_SIZE_BYTES=5242880
  - LANGFUSE_MAX_BATCH_SIZE_BYTES=5242880
